ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” Rockets To #27 at Pop Radio; Troye Sivan’s “YOUTH” Also Top 30

In rising from #31 to #23, Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” is the highest charting addition to pop radio’s Top 30.

It is not the only addition.

ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” also ventures into that territory of the Mediabase pop airplay chart.

Spun ~2,786 times during the January 31-February 6 tracking week, “PILLOWTALK” rises seventeen places to #27 on this week’s chart.

This week’s spin count bests last week’s by 1,999. That represents pop radio’s greatest weekly airplay, although the statistic is inflated due to the fact that “PILLOWTALK” did not emerge until very late on the fifth day of the previous tracking week.

Sources say “PILLOWTALK” is the new iHeartRadio “On The Verge” song at pop radio, which would entitle it to guaranteed airplay from iHeartMedia’s pop stations. Neither RCA nor iHeart has officially confirmed that story.

— Troye Sivan’s “YOUTH” also reaches the weekly Top 30.

Up seven places, “YOUTH” takes #30 on the strength of its ~2,091 tracking week spins (+475).
