Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You” climbs to the #1 spot on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Up two places from last week’s position, “Stand By You” claims #1 on the strength of ~6,139 tracking week spins (+216). Ellie Goulding’s “On My Mind,” which topped last week’s chart, is down to #2 courtesy the ~6,094 plays it received during the January 31-February 6 tracking period.

In reaching #1, “Stand By You” becomes Platten’s second chart-topper at the format. Previous single “Fight Song” reached the apex in the summer of 2015.

Down one place, Shawn Mendes’ former #1 “Stitches” is #3 on this week’s chart. It received ~5,839 plays during the official tracking week (-338).

Adele’s former multi-week #1 “Hello” slips a place — to #4 in its case. The smash “25” single earned ~5,269 weekly spins (-450).

twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” follows at #5, marking its first appearance in the Top 5. The song, which bests last week’s position by three places, received ~5,256 weekly spins (+537).
