Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” Will Fall From #1 at Alt; Cage The Elephant Taking Over

After twelve weeks on top, twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” is finally gearing to cede its throne.

The crossover smash will slip to #2 on Mediabase’s alternative radio airplay chart.

Seizing the throne will be Cage The Elephant’s “Mess Around.” Going into the final day of the January 24-30 tracking week, the Cage The Elephant track had received 2,555 spins (+7.9%). “Stressed Out” had garnered 2,400 (-5.7%).

The week is certainly not a negative one for twenty one pilots. While its smash hit will no longer lead the alternative listing, it is still on the rise at pop and hot adult contemporary.

twenty one pilots’ new “Ride,” meanwhile, is poised to claim a Top 20 position on the alternative airplay chart.
