During a recent New York City showcase, Swedish artist Zara Larsson performed “Never Forget You,” her collaboration with MNEK, and “Lush Life.” While “Lush Life” was her active radio single at the time, “Never Forget You” arguably generated greater enthusiasm (and certainly possessed greater recognition) from the industry professionals in attendance.

We are about to find out whether that enthusiasm and brand cachet will translate into success at American radio.

Epic Records today confirmed “Never Forget You” as Larsson’s new US radio single. Sent for immediate adds, it will “impact” in accordance with next week’s Mediabase add board.

“Never Forget You” fared well internationally, reaching #1 in Larsson’s native Sweden and the Top 5 in several other countries, including the UK and Australia.

— The push for “Never Forget You,” interestingly, comes while “Lush Life” has been gaining traction from a US sales and streaming standpoint. It is presently at a peak of #13 in its second week on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.
