Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” Now Leading Adele’s “Hello” At Hot AC Radio

Meghan Trainor may be headed for her first #1 on the Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Her single “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend)” received 3,020 Hot AC spins during the first three days of the January 10-16 tracking week. Up .8% from the count at the same time last week, the tally positions “Lose You” at #1 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart.

Adele’s “Hello,” which has ranked as hot adult contemporary’s #1 song for eight straight weeks, is currently #2 on this week’s building chart. It received 2,930 spins during the first three days of the tracking week (-5.0%).

The “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” lead is certainly not insurmountable, but it also has the edge in momentum. That presently makes it the favorite to claim #1 on this week’s official chart.

“Like I’m Gonna Lose You” was #2 on this past week’s official Hot AC airplay chart.

Recently certified double platinum, “Lose You” is the fourth radio single from Trainor’s debut album “Title.”
