Ratings: Primetime Portion of “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” Matches Last Year’s Show

On par with last year’s primetime performance in adults 18-49, ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” easily ranked as network television’s biggest New Year’s Eve attraction.

Per fast national data, the special drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and 7.022 million total viewers in the 8PM hour, a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating and 9.391 million total viewers in the 9PM hour, and a 3.9 rating and 13.072 million total viewers in the 10PM hour. It was network television’s clear #1 program in each hour.

Data for the late night portion was not available at press time.

Per final broadcast data, last year’s special averaged a 2.3 with 8.23 million from 8-10PM. It drew a 3.9 with 12.93 million in the 10PM hour.
