Katy Perry’s “Roar” Scores 9x Platinum Certification in the United States

Katy Perry has already received two diamond (10x platinum) single certifications in the US.

Last week, she moved one step closer to scoring a third.

“Roar,” the lead single from Perry’s “PRISM,” earned a 9x platinum certification under the RIAA’s digital singles program. The certification confirms a US unit total of at least 9 million.

One unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

“Roar” trails “Firework” and “Dark Horse” as the third-most-certified single in Perry’s discography. Both of those singles are 10x platinum.
