NBC Orders More “Blindspot,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD,” “SVU”

Several weeks ago, NBC formally ordered an additional nine episodes of freshman drama “Blindspot.” The order resulted in a full, 22-episode first season for the new series.

Tuesday, NBC ordered an additional “Blindspot” episode. The series, which has been posting solid live+same-day ratings and then receiving huge boosts from DVR, now boasts a 23-episode first season.

NBC also ordered additional episodes of “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Those established dramas, too, will air for 23 episodes during the 2015-16 season.

The three shows also aired for 23 episodes in the 2014-15 season.
