Cold War Kids’ “First” Retains #1 at Alt Radio; Death Cab Now Top 5, Muse Enters Top 10

twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” is quickly emerging as a threat, but Cold War Kids’ “First” officially retains alternative radio’s top spot for another week.

The track earns its seventh total week — and sixth consecutive — atop the Mediabase alternative listing. It received 2,780 plays within the official October 25-31 tracking week (-33).

The aforementioned “Stressed Out,” which rises one place to #2, received 2,690 within that official window (+315).

X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” (#3, -1 | 2,191, -198), Death Cab For Cutie’s “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive” (#4, +2 | 2,149, +126), and Elle King’s “Ex’s And Oh’s” (#5, -1 | 2,112, -97) complete the Top 5. The Death Cab song is making its inaugural appearance within that territory.

The Top 10 also plays host to one new addition. Spun 1,527 times within the official tracking week (+35), Muse’s “Mercy” rises one place to #10.
