Cold War Kids’ “First” Remains #1 at Alternative Radio; Entire Top 5 Unchanged

Cold War Kids [Downtown Records]

Stagnation has been the recent theme in the upper reaches of Mediabase’s alternative airplay chart.

The Top 5 positions are unchanged from last week’s chart, which itself was a mirror image of the previous week’s Top 5.

That means Cold War Kids’ “First” once again rules the listing. Spun 2,819 times during the October 11-17 tracking week (+26), “First” earns a fifth non-consecutive week at #1.

X Ambassadors’ #2 “Renegades” (2,446, -90), Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s” (2,352, -93), AWOLNATION’s “I Am” (2,231, -41), and The Struts’ “Could Have Been Me” (2,115, -17) then remain stationary to complete the Top 5.
