Pop Evil’s “Footsteps” Remains #1 at Rock Radio, Chris Cornell Goes Top 5

Despite suffering a slight week-over-week spin loss, Pop Evil’s “Footsteps” earns a third straight week atop the Mediabase active rock airplay chart.

This week’s victory comes courtesy the song’s 2,164 tracking week spins. That count trails the previous week’s mark by 5 but keeps “Footsteps” comfortably ahead of Shinedown’s #2 “Cut the Cord.”

Shinedown’s song retains the runner-up spot thanks to the 1,801 spins it received during the September 27-October 3 tracking week (-218).

Red Sun Rising’s “The Otherside” (#3, +1 | 1,623, +103), Breaking Benjamin’s “Angels Fall” (#4, +1 | 1,485, +64), and Chris Cornell’s “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” (#5, + 5 | 1,280, +218) complete the Top 5.

The Cornell song is making its inaugural appearance in that portion of the chart.
