Rudimental’s “Lay It All On Me,” DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” Gaining Airplay at Pop Radio

Rudimental’s “Lay It All On Me (featuring Ed Sheeran)” and DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean,” which both officially impacted the pop radio format this week, are quickly gaining traction from an airplay standpoint.

The former song received 327 spins during the first three days of the September 27-October 3 tracking period. That count positions the song at #45 on Mediabase’s building pop radio airplay chart.

“Cake” received 323 plays within that same three-day window. Up 368.1% from last week’s mark, the count earns DNCE’s single the #46 position on Mediabase’s building chart.

Since neither song is expected to lose its momentum over the final four days of the tracking period, both will comfortably hold Top 50 positions (if not Top 40 positions) at the conclusion of the official tracking period.
