Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s” Stays #1 at Alternative Radio; AWOLNATION’s “I Am” Goes Top 5

While it suffered a week-over-week spin loss, Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s” still ranked as alternative radio’s most-played song during the September 6-12 tracking week.

As a result, it earns a second straight week at #1 on Mediabase’s alternative airplay chart.

This week’s victory comes on the strength of the song’s 2,906 tracking week spins. That count trails last week’s by 75.

It, nonetheless, exceeds the weekly spin count for Cold War Kids’ “First.” The Cold War Kids tune, which remains at #2, received 2,844 tracking week plays (-7).

X Ambassadors’ former #1 “Renegades” stays at #3 on the strength of its 2,718 plays (+69), while Beck’s “Dreams” (#4, = | 1,990, -198) and AWOLNATION’s “I Am” (#5, +3 | 1,902, +127) form the balance of the Top 5.

This marks the inaugural Top 5 appearance for “I Am.”
