Powered by a stacked lineup that included Justin Timberlake, Ellen DeGeneres and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Wednesday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” appears to have beaten the second “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in adults 18-49.

Its overnight household rating, which was the show’s highest in five months, nearly tied that of CBS’ show.

According to data from the top 25 markets, Wednesday’s “Fallon” drew a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. It was up 50% from the 0.8 drawn on Tuesday.

“Colbert” posted a 0.8. It was down by 47% from the 1.5 achieved for Tuesday’s series premiere.

Wednesday’s “Tonight Show,” meanwhile, posted a 3.1 overnight household rating in the 56 metered markets. As noted, that was the show’s best since the April 8 episode drew the same 3.1. It was up by 29% from Tuesday’s rating and by 19% from the summer average.

The second “Colbert” scored a 3.2 in the overnight households. It trailed Tuesday’s premiere number by 35%.

Wednesday’s “Colbert” featured Scarlett Johansson, Elon Musk and Kendrick Lamar.
