The Struts’ “Could Have Been Me” Enters Top 5 at Alt Radio; Nathaniel Rateliff Goes T20

The Struts’ breakthrough hit “Could Have Been Me” enters new territory on this week’s Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

Spun ~1,843 times during the August 30-September 5 tracking week (+12), the song rises two places to #5 on the listing.

This week’s position marks the song’s first appearance inside the alternative format’s Top 5.

“Could Have Been Me” is the week’s only addition to the Top 5. The chart’s Top 10 and Top 15 are completely without new arrivals.

One song does, however, enter the Top 20. Powered by the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program (which also helped put the aforementioned “Could Have Been Me” on the map), Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ “SOB” jumps four places to a new peak of #20.

It received ~898 plays during the official tracking week (+217).

— “Could Have Been Me” is concurrently positioned at #11 on the active rock airplay chart.
