X Ambassadors (NBC)

X Ambassadors’ breakthrough hit “Renegades” crosses a new checkpoint on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

The song, which reached the Top 50 on last week’s chart, advances into the Top 40 this week.

It rises eight places to a new peak of #37.

In conjunction with that gain on the all-encompassing chart, “Renegades” also advances to new peaks on the Digital and Radio Songs subcharts. It grabs #28 (+1) on the former and #35 (+3) on the latter.

— Thrust back into the limelight by the movie, NWA’s rap classic “Straight Outta Compton” also reaches the Top 40 this week.

The song, which had never previously appeared on the Hot 100, enters at #38. The debut comes twenty seven years after the song’s initial release.

“Compton” also debuts at #20 on Streaming Songs and #33 on Digital Songs.
