Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Sales Total Approaches 400K

While Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” has not proven to be a sales behemoth, it continues to post solid weekly totals.

According to Republic Records, “Cool” drove an additional 57,018 paid US downloads during the August 7-13 tracking week. That brought the song’s cumulative sales total to 388,563**.

As it works toward the 400,000 — and then 500,000 mark — “Cool” is also enjoying gains at radio. It rises to #8 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart, #12 on the Mediabase Hot AC chart, #27 on the Mediabase AC chart and #29 on the Mediabase rhythmic chart.

“Cool for the Summer” is the lead single from Lovato’s forthcoming studio album.

**Note: Based on previously reported weekly sales data, “Cool” should only boast a cumulative sales total of 378,000. If not itself errant, the 388,563 figure would suggest that one of the song’s previous weekly totals was revised.
