Ratings: “Lip Sync Battle” Crashes to Low for Ilana Glazer vs. Abbi Jacobson

At the time, the July 30 “Lip Sync Battle” between Victoria Justice and Gregg Sulkin was the lowest-rated installment on record.

This week’s Ilana Glazer vs. Abbi Jacobson battle drew a considerably smaller audience.

By far the worst-performing broadcast to date, this week’s edition of the Spike series drew a 0.39 adults 18-49 rating 812,000 viewers.

Both numbers markedly trail those of last week’s battle, which scored a 0.53 with 1.163 million.

“Lip Sync Battle” has been delivering weaker numbers since returning from its mid-season hiatus. Save for the Justin Bieber vs. Deion Sanders episode, every post-hiatus episode has drawn fewer viewers than its predecessor.

While this week’s episode did face competition from the mammoth Republican Debate (5.27 rating, 23.997 million viewers), it is unclear whether significant overlap would have existed between the two programs.
