Royal Blood’s “Little Monster” Stays #1 at Rock, X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” Leads Alternative

The songs that claimed #1 on last week’s Mediabase active rock and alternative airplay charts also hold the top spots on this week’s listings.

“Little Monster,” which last week became Royal Blood’s first active rock #1, remains the chart’s leader on the strength of ~1,719 tracking week spins. While that count trails last week’s mark by 29, it still keeps “Little Monster” ahead of the pack.

X Ambassadors’ “Renegades,” meanwhile, earns a sixth straight week atop the Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

The song, which is impressively still gaining airplay, tops this week’s chart courtesy the ~3,255 spins it received during the July 12-18 tracking week (+176). The increased total keeps “Renegades” comfortably ahead of its alt radio rivals.

Other Top 5 active rock singles include Halestorm’s “Amen” (#2, +2 | 1,665, +114), Disturbed’s “The Vengeful One” (#3, +2 | 1,579, +154), Shinedown’s “Cut the Cord” (#4, +4 | 1,539, +193) and Pop Evil’s “Footsteps” (#5, +1 | 1,457, +72).
