George Ezra’s international breakthrough “Budapest” has officially earned a platinum mark in the United States.

Issued on July 13, 2015, the certification confirms that “Budapest” has moved at least 1 million units in the United States. Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital program, a unit is equivalent to one paid download or 100 streams.

In addition to being certified platinum, “Budapest” retroactively received its gold certification this week.

The song, which gained traction at Triple A, alternative, hot adult contemporary, pop and adult contemporary radio, peaked at #32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
