X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” Holds #1 at Alt Radio; Elle King Hits #4 as Greatest Gainer

As X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” begins to make upward moves at hot adult contemporary radio, it remains the #1 song at its core alternative format.

Spun 3,079 times during the July 5-11 tracking week, “Renegades” tops Mediabase’s alternative airplay chart for a fifth straight week.

Despite its tenure at #1, “Renegades” managed a week-over-week airplay gain. Its July 5-11 spin total tops that of the June 28-July 4 period by 57 spins.

On the subject of week-over-week gains, Elle King’s red-hot “Ex’s and Oh’s” enjoyed the alternative format’s biggest this week. Its weekly spin count of 1,952 bests last week’s mark by a healthy 236 plays.

Thanks to its improved weekly total, “Ex’s and Oh’s” rises three places to a new peak of #4 on the Mediabase alternative chart.

twenty one pilots’ “Tear in My Heart” (#2, = | 2,668 spins, +32), Beck’s “Dreams” (#3, +1 | 2,125 spins, +142) and Mumford & Sons’ “The Wolf” (#5, = | 1,951 spins, +128) form the balance of the weekly Top 5.
