Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” Enters Top 20 at Hot AC; Andrew McMahon, Sam Smith Top 25

Currently positioned within the Top 5 at its core country radio format, Little Big Town’s platinum-selling “Girl Crush” crosses a new checkpoint on this week’s hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

It officially reaches the format’s Top 20.

Up one place, “Girl Crush” grabs #20 on the Mediabase Hot AC chart. It received 1,333 plays during the July 5-11 tracking week (+70).

Close behind on this week’s Hot AC chart is Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness’ surging “Cecilia and the Satellite.” The alternative crossover, which was recently named the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” song at Hot AC (and thus subject to guaranteed airplay support), rises six places to a new peak of #21. It received 1,304 weekly plays (+363).

Sam Smith’s “Like I Can” also joins the Top 25 this week. Up one place, it earns #25 on the strength of its 1,067 weekly spins (+56).
