Ratings: CBS’ “Zoo” Avoids Week Two Demo Drop (Updated)

Update: Final data confirms that episode two of “Zoo” did not, in fact, trail the premiere in adults 18-49.

Tuesday’s episode actually drew the same 1.2 adults 18-49 rating as the June 30 opener.

Down 5% from last week’s mark, Tuesday’s viewership tally registered at 7.67 million.
=======================

Episode two of CBS’ “Zoo” nearly mirrored the premiere’s performance in adults 18-49.

Per fast national data, Tuesday’s episode drew a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating with 7.53 million viewers. Last Monday’s premiere managed a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating with 8.18 million total audience members.

Since dramas often decline by 15-30% in their second weeks, there is laudable modesty in this week’s 8% dip.

Concern, however, stems from the fact that the starting point was not especially high. Since “Zoo” began its run at a modest 1.2, even slight declines over the next few weeks could bring the show’s adults 18-49 rating into alarming territory.
