Flo Rida’s “Right Round” Earns 6x Platinum Certification

Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” which still holds the record for the greatest digital sales week in history, has earned a new cumulative honor from the RIAA.

The song has formally received a 6x platinum certification under the RIAA’s digital singles program.

Issued on July 1, 2015, the certification confirms that “Right Round” has shifted at least 6 million units in the United States. A unit is equivalent to one paid download or 100 streams.

Released in February 2009, “Right Round” debuted atop the Billboard Digital Songs chart with a weekly US sales total of 636,000. That remains the highest mark ever achieved by a digital single.
