Ratings: “KC Undercover” Surges, Sets High for Non-Sunday Episode

Whether compared to the most recent telecast or the most recent Friday telecast, the conclusion is the same: this Friday’s edition of “KC Undercover” enjoyed considerable improvement.

Airing as a lead-in to Disney Channel’s “Teen Beach 2”–and thus benefiting from enthusiasm surrounding the nightly event–Friday’s “KC” drew a 0.48 adults 18-49 rating. It reached a total of 2.91 million viewers.

Both numbers easily top those of the previous telecast, which aired on Sunday, June 14. Featuring Pentatonix, that episode drew a soft 0.28 adults 18-49 rating with 1.95 million viewers.

This Friday’s performance also tops that of the most recent Friday episode. Part one of the “Double Crossed” series, that episode drew a 0.40 adults 18-49 rating with 2.40 million total viewers on May 29.

The show’s fourth-most-watched episode on record, this Friday’s installment was the most-watched episode to air away from the show’s usual Sunday night home.

Disney’s Friday night lineup also included the aforementioned “Teen Beach 2” (1.03, 5.82 million) and “Best Friends Whenever” (0.59, 3.54 million).
