Ratings: “Game of Thrones” Sets Viewership High for Season Finale

While it did not outperform the fifth season premiere in adults 18-49, Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” season finale set a new high mark in total viewership.

The episode, which closed the fifth season, drew a 4.14 adults 18-49 rating with 8.112 million total viewers. It was the first episode to draw in excess of 8 million viewers.

Last week’s episode drew a 3.65 adults 18-49 rating with 7.136 million viewers. The aforementioned season premiere posted a 4.19 with 7.997 million.

HBO’s other Sunday programming included “Silicon Valley” (1.15, 2.106 million), “Veep” (0.53, 1.112 million) and “Last Week Tonight” (0.59, 1.259 million).
