X Ambassadors Performing on Fallon’s “Tonight Show;” “Renegades Goes #1 at Alt Radio

When X Ambassadors visits “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on June 23, it will do so with an alternative radio chart topper on its resume.

“Renegades,” the band’s breakthrough single, is set to be named the #1 song on Mediabase’s alternative airplay chart.

The song, which received approximately 2,556 plays during the June 7-13 tracking week, dethrones Muse’s “Dead Inside” on this week’s chart. Spun approximately 2,368 times this week, “Dead Inside” slips to #2 after five weeks on top.

While guaranteed airplay from the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program and exposure from the Jeep campaign have undoubtedly helped “Renegades,” the song has proven very resonant with listeners. Per the latest Mediabase audience callout report, it carries the highest net positive reaction score for any song currently active at alternative radio.

Channing Tatum and Mo Rocca are also scheduled for the June 23 “Tonight Show.”
