Hot 100: Maroon 5’s “Summer,” Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” Reach Top 25

“This Summer’s Gonna Hurt,” Maroon 5’s ironically titled attempt at a summer smash, is officially a Top 25 hit.

The song rises seven places to a new peak of #23 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

In reaching the Top 25, “Summer” extends a streak that dates back to 2011’s “Moves Like Jagger.”

In conjunction with its new Hot 100 peak, “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” reaches #14 on Digital Songs and #17 on Radio Songs.

Also new to the weekly Top 25 is Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.” The breakthrough effort soars eleven places to #25 on this week’s edition of the chart.

The week’s greatest sales gainer, it reaches #7 on the Digital Songs subchart. It also debuts at #48 on Radio Songs.

— While not new to the Top 25, Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” re-enters this week at #24.
