A unit is equivalent to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

Other new, multi-platinum certifications include a 9x distinction for “Poker Face,” an 8x mark for “Just Dance” and a 3x label for “Applause.”

In conjunction with its 3x mark, “Applause” was retroactively certified gold, platinum and double platinum.
