Shawn Mendes, Jeremih, Zedd, Omarion Enter Pop Radio’s Top 40

Four songs–all of which give lead credit to male artists–reach the Top 40 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Leading the charge is Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches.” Spun 1,484 times during the May 31-June 6 tracking week, the teen musician’s single rises five places to a new peak of #36 on the chart.

The song’s first Top 40 appearance at pop radio coincides with its debut on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jeremih’s “Tonight Belongs to U! (featuring Flo Rida)” also makes the Top 40 this week — and also on the strength of a five place rise. The song lifts to a new high of #37 on the strength of 1,400 weekly spins.

Through the end of the previous tracking week, the song had sold 31.4K copies in the United States.

One week after reaching the Top 50 and two weeks after reaching the Top 60, Zedd’s “Beautiful Now (featuring Jon Bellion)” enters the Top 40. Up eight places, it scores #38 on the strength of its 1,385 weekly spins.

Omarion’s “Post to Be (featuring Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko),” which holds the #1 spot at urban radio and #2 spot at rhythmic radio, reaches #40 at pop. Up five places, it scores that position thanks to its 1,108 weekly spins.
