Ratings: “Lip Sync Battle” Surges for Queen Latifah vs. Marlon Wayans

Thursday’s “Lip Sync Battle,” which featured Queen Latifah vs. Marlon Wayans, was the Spike series’ most-watched episode since the April 2 series premiere.

This week’s episode drew a 1.00 adults 18-49 rating with 1.91 million viewers. Both numbers were up significantly from those of last week’s broadcast, which drew a 0.65 rating with 1.35 million viewers.

To date, only the back-to-back April 2 premiere episodes drew larger audience totals. Only the first half of that premiere (The Rock vs. Jimmy Fallon) drew a stronger adults 18-49 rating (1.02).

“Lip Sync Battle,” which resumes its first season in July, has been picked up for a twenty episode second season.
