Maroon 5’s “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” Ranks as Hot AC’s Most Added

Last week, Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” claimed the top spot on Mediabase’s hot adult contemporary add board. Maroon 5’s “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” ranked as second-most added.

This week, the two songs switch positions.

Picked up by 34 monitored stations, Maroon 5’s “Summer” ranks as the Hot AC format’s most-added song. Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” earns second-most added on the strength of 30 weekly adds.

“This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” and “Bad Blood” appear at #19 and #18, respectively, on Mediabase’s rolling Hot AC airplay chart.

Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph,” which is already a Top 25 hit at the format, claims third-most added this week. It won support from 23 stations.

Kelly Clarkson’s “Invincible” earns fourth-most added thanks to its 19 pickups, while Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth)” ranks fifth with 12 adds.

Other notable Hot AC options: Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” (10 adds, 6th-most added), Sam Smith’s “Like I Can” (9 adds, 7th-most added), Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” (8 adds, 8th-most added), American Authors’ “Go Big or Go Home” (6 adds, 9th-most added, tie), Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness’ “Cecilia and the Satellite” (6 adds, 9th-most added, tie) and Nick Fradiani’s “Beautiful Life” (6 adds, 9th-most added, tie).
