Hot 100: OMI’s “Cheerleader,” Major Lazer’s “Lean On” Reach the Top 40

Pegged as a surefire summer breakthrough, OMI’s “Cheerleader” is officially a Top 40 hit in the United States.

After reaching the Top 50 on last week’s chart, the song leaps sixteen places to a new peak of #31 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

That Hot 100 rise comes in conjunction with a jump to #27 on the Digital Songs subchart and a debut at #37 on Streaming Songs.

Also new to the weekly Top 40 is Major Lazer’s “Lean On (featuring DJ Snake & MØ).” The song, which is also up sixteen places, reaches a new high of #36.

It appears at #22 on Streaming Songs and #37 on Digital Songs.
