Sawyer Fredericks Wins The Voice; Results Show Confirms Meghan Linsey as Runner-Up

From the moment his audition aired, Sawyer Fredericks emerged as the clear favorite to win the eighth season of “The Voice.”

After months of memorable performances — and dominant iTunes showings — Fredericks officially turned expectations into reality. He was named the winner of the eighth “The Voice” season during Tuesday’s two-hour results show.

The win marked the first victory for a Team Pharrell contestant.

Team Blake’s Meghan Linsey was named the eighth season’s runner-up. Team Adam’s Joshua Davis placed third, while Team Pharrell’s Koryn Hawthorne finished in fourth place.

Fredericks’ victory single is the Ray LaMontagne-penned “Please.”
