Billboard Music Awards Crowd Boos Kendall, Kylie Jenner

For censorship reasons, ABC muted what seemed like half of the audio in Kanye West’s Billboard Music Awards performance.

One sound it failed to censor, however, was a chorus of boos that emerged when Kendall and Kylie Jenner took the stage to introduce the musician.

While not enough to truly derail the introduction, the audience’s sour reaction was definitely noticeable to at-home viewers.

The boos shifted to cheers when Kendall and Kylie formally turned the stage over to West. The negative crowd reaction returned, however, in response to West’s performance.

The Billboard Music Awards audience was otherwise very gracious and gave the majority of stars — notably including Meghan Trainor — warm reactions.
