Maroon 5 Debuts New Single “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” (Listen Now)

Maroon 5 [NBC]

The follow-up to Maroon 5’s smash “Sugar” has officially arrived. And it is a track that is new not simply to radio but to the music world in general.

While it will be added to a repackaged edition, new single “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” does not appear on the original edition of “V.” It is a legitimately new release designed to capitalize on summer sensibility and keep the band’s momentum alive.

Previous single “Sugar” and its predecessor “Animals” both hit #1 at pop and hot adult contemporary radio.

The new track officially debuted on the iHeartRadio “World Premieres” station early Friday morning. Its radio push is imminent, and insofar as it is a Maroon 5 single, it should have no trouble gaining early traction.

The radio audio and lyric video are embedded below.
