NBC “The Night Shift” Gets Third Season; “Mysteries of Laura” Survives for Season 2

After performing solidly in the summer of 2014, series “Undateable” and “The Night Shift” received prime, post-“The Voice” timeslots on the spring 2015 schedule.

Neither proved to be a ratings hit, but both performed well enough to earn third seasons.

In addition to ordering an all-live third season of “Undateable,” NBC also elected to stay in business with “The Night Shift.”

NBC is also sticking with “The Mysteries of Laura.” There is talk that the second season might consist of only thirteen episodes, but the low-rated show definitely will be part of the 2015-16 schedule.
