Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” Enters Pop’s Top 60; LBT’s “Girl Crush” Rises at Hot AC

Two high-profile country songs go for crossover radio adds this week, and they do so with existing traction on the corresponding airplay charts.

Sam Hunt’s former country radio #1 (and current #8 song) “Take Your Time,” which is also in the Top 40 at hot adult contemporary, officially impacts the pop format this week.

Per Mediabase, it is already one of pop radio’s Top 60 songs. Spun 482 times during the April 26-May 2 tracking week, “Take Your Time” appears at #56 on the official edition of Mediabase’s pop airplay chart.

While a pop push is also expected, Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” this week impacts hot adult contemporary. It, too, is already a Top 60 song at the format.

Thanks to its 138 spins during the April 26-May 2 tracking week, the current #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart earns the #53 position on the official Mediabase Hot AC airplay chart.

Still risingat country radio, “Girl Crush” appears at #19 on that format’s Mediabase listing.
