iHeartRadio “On the Verge” Push Begins for Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat”

The program that helped songs like Dustin Lynch’s “Where it’s At” and Sam Hunt’s “Leave the Night On” reach #1 at country radio will now offer support to Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat.”

Thanks to vast industry/celebrity endorsement, the tune made headlines–and rocketed up the iTunes chart–earlier this year. A record deal with Warner followed, and the song now heads to radio with support from the very powerful iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program.

While “On the Verge” also offers assistance across digital channels, its greatest impact comes on terrestrial radio. There, it provides its selected songs with guaranteed airplay on the many iHeartMedia stations.

The guaranteed airplay is not itself enough to take a song to number one, but it does give songs time to establish momentum at radio.
