Ratings: ABC’s “Secrets and Lies” Rises, Tops “Once Upon a Time” in Viewership (Updated)

Update: This week’s “Secrets and Lies” enjoyed a bigger uptick than that suggested by the fast nationals.

Per final broadcast data, Sunday’s episode of the freshman ABC drama drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating with 5.13 million viewers. The performance bests that of the previous episode, which posted a 1.3 with 4.85 million viewers.

Moreover, it actually reached a larger audience than its “Once Upon a Time” lead-in.

Sunday’s “Once” drew a stronger 1.7 adults 18-49 rating but a viewership average of only 5.12 million. Last week’s installment delivered a 1.6 with 5.17 million.

ABC’s Sunday lineup also included “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (1.4, 6.43 million) and “Revenge” (1.0, 3.90 million).

Despite airing against heightened competition, Sunday’s edition of ABC’s “Secrets and Lies” bested last week’s episode in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Per fast national data, this weekend’s “Secrets and Lies,” which faced competition from CBS’ 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in addition to HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating with 5.05 million viewers.

Last week’s episode posted a 1.3 with 4.85 million viewers.

The improved performance came without corresponding improvement from lead-in “Once Upon a Time.” ABC’s 8PM Sunday drama drew the same 1.6 adults 18-49 rating that it did last week, and its viewership average of 5.12 million was actually down slightly from last week’s 5.17 million.

ABC also aired 7PM staple “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (1.4, 6.38 million) and “Revenge” (1.0, 3.91 million).
