Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” Officially Hits #1 at Country Radio

Sam Hunt | ABC

After two weeks in the shadow of Zac Brown Band’s smash “Homegrown,” Sam Hunt’s own smash “Take Your Time” finally reaches #1 at country radio.

While Hunt’s single actually lost airplay during the April 12-18 tracking week, it maintained distance from the rest of the pack. It thus grabs #1 on Mediabase’s country radio chart and becomes Hunt’s second straight #1 hit.

Predecessor “Leave the Night On,” which received support from the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program, also reached #1 on the Mediabase country airplay chart.

Not simply the leader in Mediabase chart points, “Take Your Time” was also the week’s most-played and most-heard song. It commanded approximately 8,021 spins and 62.15 million audience impressions.

Dierks Bentley’s “Say You Do,” which grabs the runner-up spot this week, followed with 7,512 spins and 59.18 million audience impressions.

Also in the weekly top five: Lee Brice’s “Drinking Class” (#3), Zac Brown Band’s “Homegrown” (#4) and Keith Urban’s “Raise ‘Em Up (featuring Eric Church)” (#5).
