Deanna Johnson Wins The Voice’s Instant Save; Brian Johnson, Mia Z are Eliminated

Two contestants with the last name Johnson ended up in this week’s bottom three.

Thanks to the “Instant Save,” only one was required to say goodbye to “The Voice.”

Brian Johnson, that contestant, joined Mia Z in suffering elimination this week. Representatives of Team Adam and Team Pharrell, respectively, the contestants performed “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You” and “Miss You” on Monday’s performance show.

At the close of voting, their performances held the two lowest positions on the iTunes single sales chart.

Their Tuesday night renditions of “Amazed” and “Stormy Monday” brought them within striking distance of survival, but the efforts ultimately proved unsuccessful. America instead Tweeted its greatest level of support for Team Adam’s Deanna Johnson, who survived a trip to the bottom three and advances to next week’s Top 10 round.

There, she will join teammate Joshua Davis, Team Blake’s Meghan Linsey, Hannah Kirby and Corey Kent White, Team Christina’s Kimberly Nichole, India Carney and Rob Jackson and Team Pharrell’s Sawyer Fredericks and Koryn Hawthorne.
