FOX’s “Gotham” Returns with Series Low Ratings

In the case of FOX’s “Gotham,” absence did not make the heart grow fonder.

Monday’s episode, which was the series’ first since March 2, drew lows in both adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Per fast national data, the episode scored a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating with 4.42 million viewers.

The aforementioned March 2 installment drew a considerably stronger 2.0 with 6.10 million viewers.

The presence of a fresh lead-in did, however, provide “The Following” with a slight boost. After drawing a 0.9 with 2.95 million viewers out of last week’s “Gotham” re-run, the show rose to a 1.1 with 3.49 million viewers out of this week’s original.

FOX has already ordered a second season of “Gotham.”
