Shawn Mendes Set to Perform on ABC’s “Good Morning America”

Shawn Mendes’ eagerly awaited debut album “Handwritten” finally arrives on April 14. The album is already considered a virtual lock to win the weekly sales race.

Knowledge of that projected #1 debut will not, however, prevent the young musician from working to make release week as big as possible.

Part of that effort will include a performance on the popular “Good Morning America.” ABC confirms that Mendes will take the stage on the Friday, April 17 edition of the morning talk show.

In addition to the Mendes performance, the episode will feature yard work tips from Chris Lambton and Peyton Wright and “Shark Tank Friday” with Daymond John.

The week’s earlier episodes will include appearances by names like Kevin James, Mariah Stackhouse and Vance Joy. Full listings follow:

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15 – Professional organizer and media personality Peter Walsh with tips to reduce the clutter; Banana Republic Creative Director Marissa Webb; a look at Facebook’s new scrapbook feature

THURSDAY, APRIL 16 – Actor Anna Chlumsky (“Veep”); ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer and St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny (The Matheny Manifesto: A Young Manager’s Old-School Views on Success in Sports and Life); “Deals and Steals” with contributor Tory Johnson
