Hot 100: Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” Earns 14th Week at #1

Mark Ronson’s smash “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” remains the hottest song in America.

The track consequently earns a 14th straight week atop the Billboard Hot 100.

By extending its reign to that mark, “Uptown Funk” thrusts itself into a seven-way tie for the second-longest Hot 100 reign of all-time.

The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together,” Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind 1997″/”Something About The Way You Look Tonight,” Los Del Rio’s “Macarena,” Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” also spent fourteen weeks at the top.

Only Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day,” which spent sixteen weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, boasts a longer reign.

While the “Uptown Funk” streak remains intact on the Hot 100, it ends on one of the three key subcharts. Ronson’s blockbuster continues to rule over Streaming Songs (15.8 million US streams) and Radio Songs (159 million impressions), but it cedes its Digital Songs throne. After spending thirteen weeks at #1, it slips to #2 to make room for Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth’s surging “See You Again.”

That song claims #1 on Digital Songs thanks to its 168,000 weekly sales. “Uptown Funk” moved 163,000.

Maroon 5’s “Sugar” repeats at #2 on this week’s Hot 100, while Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” jumps back to its #3 peak.

The Weeknd’s “Earned It,” which appears alongside “Love Me” on the Hot 100, reaches a new peak of #4 this week. Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” which went as high as #2, is down to #5 this week.

Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” and Taylor Swift’s “Style” remain at #6 and #7, respectively. Flo Rida’s “GDFR (featuring Sage the Gemini and Lookas)” trades places with Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds.” The Flo Rida song rises to #8, while the superstar “FourFiveSeconds” collaboration drops to #9.

The aforementioned “See You Again” assumes the #10 position. It was #84 last week.
