Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” Reaches #1 on iTunes Sales Chart

“Furious 7” is delivering a record-breaking performance at the box office, and a pivotal soundtrack cut is making a dominant impression on iTunes.

Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again,” which features Charlie Puth, now holds the #1 position on the all-genre single sales chart.

Real-time trending data suggests it is currently selling at least 1.2x as quickly as Mark Ronson’s #2 “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars),” and that differential is expected to rise as more people see the film and buzz over the song grows.

“See You Again” plays during the film’s tribute to original star Paul Walker (and his character Brian O’Conner), who died in November 2013. In an interview with Uproxx, director James Wan confirms that the emotional ending “gets [him] every time.”

Khalifa and former contestant Chris Jamison will perform “See You Again” on this Wednesday’s “The Voice” results show.
