Hot 100: Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” Rises to #20

Sam Hunt | ABC

Last week, “Take Your Time” became Sam Hunt’s first top 25 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

This week, it becomes his first Top 20 hit.

Hunt’s latest single rises one place to a new peak of #20 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

The Top 20 milestone is a rare–and impressive one–for a contemporary country song, and it further cements Hunt’s status as one of the genre’s biggest stars.

“Leave the Night On,” his previous single and career breakthrough, peaked at #30.

In addition to reaching a new peak on the overall Hot 100, “Time” also soars to a new high of #16 on the Radio Songs subchart. It does, however, slip a modest two places to #18 on the Digital Songs (sales) listing.

Hunt’s song remains the leader on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs breakdown.
