Tuesday’s edition of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” features another performance from iconic rock band Van Halen.

Tuesday’s edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” which airs opposite “Kimmel,” affords its stage to a more contemporary, more alternative act.

alt-J, that act, serves as the evening’s musical guest.

Taped Tuesday evening, the band’s performance concludes an episode that includes interviews with Ethan Hawke and Willie & Korie Robertson.

First formed in 2007, alt-J earned its biggest career hit in 2014. “Left Hand Free,” that hit, soared as high as #2 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, #9 on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart and #99 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

The band’s current alternative radio presence comes via “Every Other Freckle.”
