Taraji P. Henson, Mumford & Sons Confirmed for “Saturday Night Live”

Taraji P. Henson, whose Cookie emerged as the standout character on FOX’s juggernaut series “Empire,” is scheduled to make her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut.

NBC confirms that Henson will host the April 11 edition of its iconic weekend variety show. Mumford & Sons, which just launched new single “Believe,” will appear as that evening’s musical guest.

One week earlier (April 4), “SNL” will welcome host Michael Keaton and musical guest Carly Rae Jepsen.

Keaton, who scored an Oscar nomination for his work in “Birdman,” stars in the upcoming films “Spotlight” and “Minions” (voice). Jepsen recently debuted new single “I Really Like You.”

This coming weekend’s “SNL” features host Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and musical guest George Ezra.
