Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” Explodes as Pop’s Most Added; Meghan Trainor Follows

Signposted by its furious surge up the pop radio airplay chart, Jason Derulo’s new “Want to Want Me” impacts as the week’s most added song.

According to Mediabase, “Want to Want Me” won support from a whopping 156 monitored pop stations.

Derulo’s latest release debuted at an impressive #23 on the Mediabase airplay chart, and the monstrous add count provides no reason to expect a slowdown. “Want to Want Me” is a smash in the making.

And a multi-format one at that. Picked up by 41 stations, “Want to Want Me” also ranks as the rhythmic format’s most added song this week.

No stranger to smash hits, Meghan Trainor claims the #2 position on this week’s pop add board. Her new single “Dear Future Husband” received a strong 56 adds in conjunction with its official impact.

Already a gold single in the US, “DFH” is the follow-up to Trainor’s #5-peaking “Lips are Movin.” That track was preceded by her chart-topping debut “All About That Bass.”

Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love,” which is now one of pop’s 20 most played songs, follows as the week’s third-most added track. It won support from 27 monitored pop stations.

Zedd’s “I Want You to Know (featuring Selena Gomez)” (25 adds) and DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It” (24 adds) follow as the week’s fourth- and fifth-most added tracks.

Other popular options for pop programmers: The Weeknd’s “Earned It” (20 adds, 6th-most added), David Guetta’s “Hey Mama (featuring Nicki Minaj)” (18 adds, 7th-most added), Flo Rida’s “GDFR (featuring Sage the Gemini and Lookas)” (15 adds, 8th-most added, tie), LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills” (15 adds, 8th-most added, tie) and Iggy Azalea’s “Trouble (featuring Jennifer Hudson)” (12 adds, 10th-most added).
